The new year is underway and one of my first trips of the year is to New York City to film two interviews with a client. I've enjoyed traveling to NYC since my corporate days at Amtrak when I came to the city a few days each month.
One advantage of filming around NYC is the abundance of rental houses and personnel. While I wasn't asked to hire locally, I made the decision to save my client the expense of someone traveling with me. I rented the lighting gear from a local rental house and my PA was referred from someone who hired me in Atlanta. It's a small production world, after all!
After the shoot day had wrapped, I made my way to Times Square, which continues to evolve into a more pedestrian-friendly space. No matter how many times I visit New York, I never tire of it's energy!
