Town Hall Webcast from New Orleans

Town Hall Webcasts which allows presenters (often CEO's and Presidents) to address employees is our most popular webcast format. In addition to live video, webcasts often include PowerPoint presentations, a separate video segment as well as custom branding for the client.

We recently traveled to New Orleans, LA for one such webcast for a Fortune 15 client. While we did not have much free time, a walk over to Jackson Square on our set-up day allowed a lunch in the bustling French Quarter.

A beautiful morning in Jackson Square, New Orleans, LA.

The three-camera live switch was produced in the same manner as when we are working with our live broadcast clients, with much of the same equipment.

With webcasts, the need for the satellite uplink goes away and instead we encode the broadcast and feed it live to our Content Delivery Network (CDN) where it is distributed to viewers around the country or even the world.

The one-hour webcast was seen by over 1000 people watching on their desktops, laptops, tablets and even iPhones. An archive of the live event was available to anyone not able to attend the live event.

A successful webcast concludes!

It had been several years since my last visit to New Orleans, so it was nice to visit the Crescent City once again.

Webcasts can originate from any location, whether Atlanta, New Orleans or Tulsa, OK. As long as a high-speed, dedicated internet connection is available, Forrester Media can produce the webcast as a turnkey event. Give us a call at 800-201-8102 to learn more about our webcasting services.

Athlete Bo Jackson helping Alabama tornado victims

We had the opportunity to work with football and baseball star Bo Jackson today on a shoot at The Weather Channel. Bo was promoting his upcoming 'Bo Bikes Bama' bicycle ride fundraiser on April 27th in Cordova, Alabama.

The bike ride offers both a 20-mile and 60-mile route starting in Cordova and heading north before returning offering both amateur and professional cyclists the opportunity to help raise funds for the victims of the deadly April 27, 2011 tornadoes that struck multiple cities in Alabama.

Bo hopes to raise $1 million through donations and sponsorships. All contributions go to the Governor's Emergency Relief Fund, which was established after the devastating tornadoes.
